2009-2010 Schedule
All of our children spend six hours of their day here at school - with some spending as much as four additional hours in the After Care program. These hours can exceed the time they spend with their families during the week. Is it any wonder that our children may feel that St. Matthias is their second home.
This school has gone through many changes/improvements over the past fifty years and continual maintenance and cleaning is needed to ensure that the school remain in top condition. To meet this need, the Second Home project has been put in place.
Second Home is a program where once a year at least one parent from every school family comes to the school to help with the cleaning and maintenance effort. Some projects include: Dusting the tops of lockers, cleaning windows, sweeping the playground, and weeding flower beds around the school.
Second Home workers meet from 7:30-9:30 a.m. based on the schedule listed below. We ask that workers please bring all supplies needed to complete the jobs (a flyer with the needed work will be sent home prior to your work day). For the sake of safety, we ask that only parents participate.
If all of us pitch in to help, our school and parish can continue to be a source of pride!
