Volunteer Information

How can you volunteer at St. Francis?

Before you can be allowed to work with our children, you must:

  1. Fill out the Volunteer Application and turn it in to the school office.
  2. Take a Protecting God’s Children (PGC) course.  Information on PGC is available here.
  3. Have your fingerprints taken.  The YMCA in Newark can take them for you.  More information is available here.
  4. Have all necessary documentation (PGC, Fingerprints, and Volunteer Application) on file at the school before you begin volunteering.

Volunteer Code of Conduct

Read our Volunteer Code of Conduct here. Contact Mrs. McDonald (see below).

To Gain Entrance to the School during a school day:

Ring the buzzer at the front of the school (Granville Street) and you will be allowed access to the building. Proceed to the office to get a visitor badge. It is important that we know who is in our building at all times. This helps to keep our children safe.

Volunteer Tracking Form

Families are expected to volunteer 50 hours each year. Please complete and forward the following forms to the parish office at the end of each quarter. (Please mark the envelope “Volunteer Tracking Form”.)
