Principal's Corner

February was a whirlwind at St. Francis. Because of the weather, we have had to reschedule several school functions. However, the functions we did have in February were a great success. “Chris Cakes” the Flapjack King came on Mardi Gras and the students had a wonderful time trying to “catch” their lunch. Kindergarten and 1^st Grade hosted a record turnout at our 2^nd annual “Bring Someone You Love to Lunch” day.

Our Jr. High students also had the Science and History Day last Friday, which showcased their creativity, originality, and presentation skills. They did a wonderful job and many members of our community spent time with the students “judging” their projects, including yours truly. We have some amazing talent in our school! It was a great day for everyone who participated.

March also promises to be exciting with our 2^nd annual “Slam Idol” competition in the Jr. High,

our third Prospective Parent Visit Day this year, Kindergarten’s “Donuts for Dad” event on St. Joseph’s Day,

and our Easter/Spring Break.

Thank you to everyone who attended any one of these events and helped to make them special for the children.
