Merit Scholarship Registration Form -- For incoming Freshmen who would like to apply for Merit Scholarships by taking the test explained below. You must fill out and submited the Registration Form by January 30, 2009; have applied to DeSales for the 2009-2010 school year; and take the EXPLORE test in order to qualify for the Merit Scholarships. Ten, one year, $2,000 scholarships are available. In addition, the five students who earn the top math scores on the test will be awarded an additional one-year $1,000 scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP TEST FOR INCOMING FRESHMAN
Test Date: March 7. 2009
Time:  9:00 am – 12:00 am
Location:  St. Francis DeSales High School

We will be administering the EXPLORE Test to incoming freshman as a way to qualify for scholarship money.  The test consists of the following four academic achievement tests:

                                                English            40 items
                                                Math                30 items
                                                Reading           30 items
                                                Science            28 items

All of the tests are multiple-choice and each test is 30 minutes in length.  To view sample questions and to find out more about the EXPLORE Test, please visit www.actstudent.org/explore/ . 

Students may bring their own calculator.  (Calculators will not be provided.)  Dress is casual.
