*On Monday, February 11 , in homeroom, current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors were given their scheduling materials for the next academic school year. (These include the new Course Description Book and the appropriate grade Scheduling Selection Sheet that can be downloaded above.)
*Take a moment to look at the course listings – these are the classes you are eligible for at your grade level. Please note that if you aren’t sure what a course entails, you should read its corresponding description in the course booklet. It is also important to note the prerequisites for courses – courses that have an asterisk or series of asterisks require a signature from a previous teacher and usually a minimum grade in a current or former course.
*In the case of English, Math, Science, and Foreign Language courses, your teachers will tell you what day within the next week that they will be signing your sheets – make sure you are present on that day and have your selection sheets with you.
*Turn the selection sheet over. Note the lines where you will put the course title & course description # - be accurate w/both but especially the course # as the computer reads it directly, not the title.
*Keep in mind that your selections should total 8 Full Periods.
*Also note at the bottom of the selection sheet there is a section for ALTERNATES. Make sure you take this seriously. It is likely that you will get one of them.
* Get Signatures (both yours and your parent’s) at the bottom and return by Thrusday, February 21. . Failure to do so will result in points taken off and detentions. Turn them in early if you can. Make sure you have all necessary signatures.
*If you are not returning your parent must write that on the selection sheet and return it by February 21 as well. |
