COMMUNITY

Located in the Appalachian region of Muskingum County, Zanesville is 55 miles east of Columbus, Ohio.  The population of Muskingun County is 84,585. Zanesville is a small city of 25,277 people whose median family income is $26,642. Bishop Rosecrans students travel from Morgan, Perry and Guernsey counties as well.

Major corporations in Zanesville are Kellogg's, Plaskolite, Wendy's International,
Anchor Glass Container, Dollar General, United Technologies, GEnesis Healthcare System, and the Longaberger Company. Others include Lear Corporation, AK Steel, and Auto Zone. 

Zanesville has an art center with 6 galleries and the city hosts two amateur theater groups.  Nationally recognized musical groups, plays, and other entertainment are able to perform in the 1800 seat Secrest Auditorium.  There are two college campuses, Ohio University regional campus (OUZ) and Zane State College.  Muskingum College is 15 miles east of Zanesville.

Grading Scale and Point System
A   (4.0) = 93-100        C+ (2.5) = 82-84
B+ (3.5) = 90-92          C   (2.0) = 76-81 
B   (3.0) = 85-89          D   (1.0) = 70-75
Courses are not weighted with respect to difficulty. Class rank is not weighted.
Interpretation of Transcript
Final Average (FV) for a course is determined by averaging first semester (MV) and second semester (S2) grades. Each quarter grade is worth 20% of the final course grade. The Midterm Exam (MX) and the Final Exam (FX) are each valued at 10% of the final grade.
