PLAN TEST

     The PLAN test will be given to sophomores on November 14.  This test is an important step toward
     making college a reality. This test  helps your son or daughter identify skills and knowledge they need
     to succeed in college, areas where they need extra help or additional courses, and career areas that
     match their interests. The PLAN test also provides an estimated ACT score – one of the best indicators
     of readiness for college. Students can view sample questions at:

     Note:  All sophomores (except exchange students) must turn in $9.20 )the cost of the test) to Ms. La
     Plante by Friday, November 9.  Checks need to be made out to Bishop Rosecrans High School.

ACADEMIC AWARDS

     The Fall Academic Awards Assembly will be held Tuesday, November 6, in Breitfeller. Academic letters
     and pins will be given to students achieving at least a 3.5 GPA in the previous year. Students who meet
     this requirement for the first time receive a letter. Students who already have a letter receive a pin. (Only
     grades  earned at Bishop Rosecrans High School count toward awards.

SENIORS

     Remember that some college application deadlines are approaching. Ohio State has a deadline of
     December 3 for their early application process and any scholarships. Other colleges have mid-January
     deadlines. At this point,  I have processes and mailed twenty-one applications to various colleges.
