Course # 700     Credits: 1/4 Freshmen REQUIRED
Physical Education 1
The beginning physical education experience has as its primary purpose to involve students in sports and activities that offer expressions and healthful benefits throughout life.  Students learn the fundamentals of such sports as tennis, golf, swimming, running, basketball, touch football, softball, soccer, volleyball, weight training, kick ball, social dancing, floor hockey and wrestling.
 

Course # 710     Credits: 1/4 Sophomores REQUIRED
Physical Education 2
Engaging in many of the same activities introduced in Physical Education 1, students place greater emphasis on team interaction and cooperation as well as skill and performance development. 
 

Course #720     Credits: 1/2 Freshmen REQUIRED
Health
Health education at Bishop Rosecrans High School emphasizes preventive health care.  Positive diet, mental attitude, social behavior, physical activity, personal health habits and hygiene are stressed.
