What is the Diocese of Columbus Catholic Committee on Scouting?
The Diocese of Columbus Catholic Committee on Scouting (DCCS) is a committee of Catholic lay people that promote the mission of Scouting is Youth Ministry. They accomplish this by reinforcing the Twelfth Point of the Scout Law of A Scout is Reverent throughout the local Boy Scouts of America councils and Diocesan parish youth groups.

The committee works with advisers from the Boy Scouts of America Simon Kenton Council and the Diocese of Columbus Office of Youth Ministry to strengthen the presence of the Catholic faith in Scouting.

The DCCS also sponsors Venture Crew 1618, designed to assist young people in the exploration and formation of their Catholic Faith and to provide them with an opportunity to demonstrate their formation, while serving as staff for religious emblem programs, activities and retreats. Reverence is a virtue, a gift of the Holy Spirit!
