IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.    Student Athletic Programs and the Law:  A one-day seminar designed for athletic directors, coaches, principals and teachers will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Worthington on February 20 from 8:30 until 4:00 pm.  This one-day seminar is designed to enhance participant's knowledge and understanding of the legal issues surrounding student athletic programs.  Topics to be discussed include:
                -student athletic codes
                -federal law remedies/state law remedies
                -disabled/handicapped students
                -miscellaneous issues

2.    Discipline Strategies for the Difficult Young Child (Pre-school - second grade):  Gene Bedley, internationally recognized educator, author, presenter will provide a workshop specifically designed for educators of young children serving pre-shcool through second grade students.  The meeting will be held in Columbus on January 8 at the Howard Johnson Inn (614-861-7220).

        - The Diocesan LPDC will meet on Thursday, December 11 at Saint Anthony School.
