3. Weekly Religion Ideas
For Teachers: A
wonderful book for teachers is Workday Prayers, by Timothy Jones.
This little book is filled with wonderful quick little meditations for any
possible work related situations that you may encounter on a daily basis.
Whether you feel rushed in the urgency of every aspect in life or unable to
express the gratitude for God's wisdom, this book puts it all in to a handy
meditation. Published by Loyola Press Chicago 2000.
Curriculum Ideas: Hey, science teachers, how can a barometer be used for prayer? Is there a way to pray in the art room using string, glue, sticks and newspapers? The answer to all of these questions is YES!!! A great book to use for prayer in any classroom with a creative side is at your finger tips. Object Worship: Stories for Children by Walter L. Cook, is an outstanding resource to help make prayer come alive in the classroom on a daily basis. Also, you can use their prayers as examples, to help in creating your own worship around specific academic objects. This is one book that should be on every school shelf!!! The Pilgrim Press New York 1987.
