IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.    Educators Training Network:  Make learning enjoyable in your classroom through fun and challenging activities that touch  every area of the curriculum.  "Make-It Take-It Captivating Activities" is a hands-on workshop jam-packed with activities that make learning the basics a lot more interesting.

2.    Teacher Academy 2003 K-8:  The Ohio Association for Gifted Children is proud to present the fourth annual OAGC Teacher Academy.  This year, the academy will be structured into two unique days designed to offer the best of both national and local expertise.
        The Academy will be held on April 1 and 2 at the Holiday Inn in Worthington.  The cost of the Academy is $150.00.  College credit or CEU credit is available for those who participate.  For more information and/or registration contact the registrar at 614-337-0386.

3.    Weekly Religion Ideas:
        For Teachers - In the Catechist Magazine, March 2003 there is an article "Christian Traditions of Peace:  Just War and Pacifism" on pp. 50-54, that you might want to read as talk of war is going on with leaders of our country and the world.  This will give you some background for this important topic.

        For the Classroom - Besides making crosses with their good deeds recorded each day, there is an idea about making new life crosses . . . how good deeds can bring new life to those who do them and to those who receive them and to the environment in which they are practiced.  The "how to" is on p. 46 of this same issue of Catechist Magazine mentioned above.

        Resources - An activity for the family toward the end of Lent which explains the Triduum to students and families is found on pp. 18 & 19 of the March issue of Catechist Magazine.  Run these sheets off and let the whole family learn about the important liturgical days in the Triduum.

5.    Dates to Remember:
            OSU fee waiver requests for summer quarter are due March 21.

            The Diocesan LPDC meets at Saint Anthony School, Columbus on Thursday, April 3.
