1. Writing about Mathematics: This seminar, presented by Sue O'Connell, author of Math - The Write Way will be offered in Columbus on November 22 at the Holiday Inn on the Lane. The seminar has been designed for teachers of grades 3-8 who will learn practical, everyday activities that will strengthen students' abilities to speak about and write about math. 2. Spelling and Word Skills Seminar: Educators who want to learn how Rebecca Sitton's approach to spelling and word skill literacy in her SPELLING SOURCEBOOK series can help them boost students' spelling and writing achievement might be interested in this seminar which is designed for teachers of grades 1-8. The seminar will be held in Columbus on October 27 at the Holiday Inn on the Lane. Register on-line at www.sittonspelling.com.

4. IPDP Forms: Teachers are reminded that the State Department of Education requires each teacher working in an Ohio school to have an LPDC approved Individual Professional Development Plan. This Plan is to be written as soon as a new license has been issued or, for new hires, at the beginning of the school year. Any teacher who has not submitted a Plan to the LPDC must do so ASAP. Copies of the IPDP form can be obtained from your principal.
