IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. MASTERS IN CATHOLIC SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION: The University of Dayton and the Diocese of Columbus Department of Education will offer a three hour course "Catholic School Curriculum - EDA 511" which will be offered fall semester beginning September 17 from 4:30 until 7:00 pm. The class will be held at the Catholic Center, 197 E. Gay Street, Columbus. To register, call Kitty Quinn @221-5829 (kquinn@cdeducation.org).
2. BALANCED CALENDAR RESEARCH
SEMINAR: Investigate the questions surrounding the development,
design, PR, implementation, ramifications, and impact of a Balanced Calendar
School. The seminar is available to administrators and teachers. The
opening session is Tuesday, September 9 from 4:30 until 7pm at the Catholic
Center, 197 E. Gay Street, Columbus.

3. CAPITAL UNIVERSITY FEE WAIVERS: Two fee waivers for Capital University are available for interested Franklin County teachers. The waivers may be used to take any undergraduate course at Capital. If any teacher is interested, complete a fee waiver request form and submit it before 9/5/03. The waivers will be issued on the basis of seniority within the Diocese.
4. OSU WINTER QUARTER FEE WAIVERS: Requests for OSU winter quarter fee waivers are due October 3, 2003. Please complete an on-line fee waiver request form.
5. LPDC: All teachers are reminded that they must have an IPDP on file at their schools. The plan must have been approved by the Diocesan LPDC at the time it (the plan) was developed. No license can be applied for from the State unless a teacher's plan has been approved by the LPDC. Teachers who received a 5 yr license, (a non-tax certificate, or an 8 year Professional certificate) over the summer should submit an IPDP to the LPDC before Oct. 6, 2003. Send plans to the Diocesan Teacher Personnel Office, 197 E. Gay Street, Columbus 43215.
