- Office of
Religious Education and Catechesis
-
The
Office of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Diocese of
Columbus, under the leadership of the Bishop, is
called to the ministry of the Word. By
providing lifelong catechesis, the office is
committed to echoing the Gospel message to all, in
order to nourish in them a faith that is living,
conscious and active. With a special focus on the
support of those in positions of catechetical
leadership, the office is dedicated to assisting
them in providing quality catechesis.
Catechesis is a priority of evangelization. It is
rooted in Scripture, Liturgy and Tradition.
Catechesis is a response of the Church to the
missionary mandate of Jesus to spread the Good
News.
To
that end, as an office we endeavor through
proclamation, catechesis, witness and love of
neighbor to contribute to the formation of disciples
for building up the Kingdom of God.
