St. Joseph Montessori School (PrS-8/L) Grades 7 & 8 Math & Science Erdkinder Team Teacher Full Time Preferred St. Joseph Montessori School, located at 933 Hamlet St. Columbus, Ohio 43201 is seeking a grades 7 & 8 Math & Science teacher for the 2010-2011 school year. Position requires team teaching in a combined classroom of approximately 40 seventh and eight graders. Responsible for teaching Math & Science and coaching a Mathcounts team. Must be certified to teach Algrebra for high school credit and hold a valid Ohio teaching licensure (4-9 Math & Science). Previous seventh/eight grade teaching experience and or Montessori training/certification a plus. Meets the needs of students with special needs as well as those who require enrichment. Assists in the transitioning of eight grade students to high school by working with the student and his/her parents. Work in tandem with other classroom teacher to help students raise funds for an end of the year class trip and is a chaperone for that trip. Participates in the annual Eighth Grade Graduation.
