Parish Catechetical Leader Meetings

Meetings with Parish Catechetical Leaders

The Office of Religious Education and Catechesis meets three times a year with parish catechetical leaders (PCL) throughout the diocese.

PCLs are any paid (salary or stipend) or volunteer leaders who work with adult faith formation, RCIA and RCIA Adapted for Children of Catechetical Age, parish school of religion programs, sacramental preparation, pre-school programs, and youth ministry.

Often the material we present at these meetings also is useful for catechetical leaders in their own parish. Therefore we have provided copies of all materials used as a reference.

The Office of Religious Education and Catechesis participates in the professional development and administrator meetings for Diocesan Catholic School administrators conducted by the Office of Catholic Schools. The Office of Religious Education and Catechesis seeks to provide in-service opportunities for the administrators as well as provide examples of materials that can be used for the on-going faith formation of catholic school teachers.
